The contestants are free to drink

The contestants of "The Bachelor" can drink unlimited wine, champagne, beer... when the show is being recorded. Producers think that alcohol helps these contestants forget the lens to be more open, and also come up with more dramatic stories.

Contestant of the 17th season Leslie Hughes has revealed to The Daily Beast that when she went to the recording site at the weekend, around 12 noon, the producer asked her if she wanted to drink wine or beer. They even said it was an action to welcome her to "The Bachelor" family.

Ali Fedotowsky, a former contestant of both "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette", has revealed in an interview that many people drink alcohol. According to Fedotowsky, If you are a smart person, you will not drink much.

In season 19th, contestant Jordan Branch was too drunk at a cocktail party. After being disqualified, she said she confessed to producers her worries about drinking too much on the show, but they did nothing to stop Branch, and they even gave her more drinks.

Winners are forced to return the ring if they breakup before 2 years

The Neil Lane diamond rings favored by Hollywood stars will be engagement rings for the winners of the show. These rings often cost tens of thousands of USD with a 2.5-3 carat diamond.

However, if the couples breakup within two years from the end of the show, they are forced to give the ring back to the manufacturer. According to ABC, they are also not allowed to sell the ring.

In "The Bachelorette", when Jillian Harris broke it up with winner Swiderski, she was forced to give up her ring.

There is only one couple that is still happy together so far

"The Bachelor" has broadcast 22 seasons, which means it has successful paired 22 couples. However, most of these couples breakup after a short time. After 22 seasons, only one couple got married and lived happily together. Meanwhile, "The Bachelorette" has done better when 6 out of 13 couples get married after the show.

Entrepreneur Sean Lowe and graphic designer Catherine Giudici of the 17th season are the only couple in "The Bachelor" with a strong relationship. They married in 2014 and have one child. Lowe even released a memoir named "For All the Right Reasons" and appeared on a variety of reality shows like "Dancing with the Stars", "Celebrity Wife Swap"...

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are the only happy couple after 22 seasons.

Most of these breakups are quiet. As for Jason Mesnick in season 13th, he publicly changed the decision, rejecting the winner Melissa Rycroft on the show and telling the runner-up Molly Malaney that he still had feelings for her. Jason and Molly got married later and the couple already have two children now.
