Microsoft Azure – A solution for digital conversion
What is Microsoft Azure?
Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform provided by tech giant Microsoft. To better understand Microsoft Azure, we first need to understand "What is cloud computing?"
In the simplest terminology, cloud computing is the storage and access of data stored on the internet instead of storage devices such as USB and hard drives. OneDrive is exactly an example of cloud computing.
3 benefits that cloud computing brings to users:
- Increasing productivity: thanks to cloud computing, you can easily access data from multiple sources, from many different devices everywhere;
- Ensured data safetyL document stored on cloud computing is more secure than in peripheral devices such as USB or hard drives;
- Large storage capacity.
Coming back to Microsoft Azure. This solution includes 3 basic structures: IAAS – PAAS – SAAS.
First, IaaS is abbreviated by Infrastructure as a Service. IaaS is considered as Host. Microsoft provides Remote Desktop, Virtual machine and Sever. An Azure virtual machine will manage all the characters, the operating system of the device you are running.
Next, PaaS stands for Platform-as-a-Service, considered as Build. With the cloud service, Azure handles all operating systems so you can focus on what matters most. It builds a qualified application for users. In PaaS, Azure Website is considered the simplest, cheapest and fastest method for bringing your application to the cloud.
Last but not least, SaaS stands for Software As A Service, considered as Consume. It allows users to access online applications sent over the internet and the web, so we don't need to worry about installing.
Why do we need Azure?
Being quite flexible with many outstanding features and, Microsoft Azure is being embraced by many companies to increase business efficiency and competitiveness. Azure makes digital conversion between all businesses and customers simpler.
Thanks to Azure, businesses can create, operate, adjust needs, and avoid wasting money as they only need to pay for exactly what they are using.
Azure also works flexibly with other Microsoft software and services such as Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange and Share Point, making it easy to safely back up and store your company's most important information.
Azure helps businesses bring products and services to the market quickly. It allows businesses to move applications fast and easily from the on-premies server to the cloud. This feature helps businesses avoid investment costs for new servers.
The service also provides easy and reliable backup for business data and applications by eliminating the typical infrastructure costs associated with hosting. In addition, the cost of server and data transmission is cut off, too.
Not only that, Azure is also a useful tool for developers because Azure supports a variety of operating systems, programming languages, frameworks, databases and devices.
Azure provides consistency in application development, management and security, identity management and data platform development. Using Azure also helps in creating smart applications too.
How to create server and database on Microsoft Azure?
The work is quite easy. First, visit the official website of Microsoft Azure. Click on SQL Database.
Fill in the fields marked with a red arrow. Then click on Create.
Afterwards, in Server section, select Create New Server, fill in all the Name, Login, Password, Confirm PassWord (password needs uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers).
Wait a moment. When the message Deployment successful appears, we have successfully created SQL Server and SQL Database.
Select All ReSource. And all the work is done.
